40 plus golfers attended the first of three qualifying events of the "road to Celtic manor" challenge.

Played on an excellent course and in fantastic weather the standard of golf was impressive. The JCA team were joined by customers and key suppliers who afterwards enjoyed a 3 course meal and prizing giving with the lucky few booking their places into the finals in early September at the Celtic manor, home of the 2010 Ryder cup.

One customer commented " I have been fortunate to play on many corporate golf days but this has been by far the best organised event. I felt like I was playing on tour, the JCA team made me and my playing partners feel very special. An excellent day!

Customers in the south west are the first to see the new concept of purchasing Automotive and Industrial paints plus consumables as JCA has launched their "Colours on Wheels" van or know as the COW van.

Equipped with full mixing scheme facilities along with colour matching tools plus aerosol machine the van can travel to rural areas offering a complete service whilst the customers waits.

"The South West lends itself to this type of concept because of the many green fields between towns and cities" commented Steve Paver marketing manager for JCA. This has been a very exciting 6 months and we are very pleased we can now offer both old and new customers this unique service.

JCA are pleased to announce the acquisition of a new business specialising in the supply of parts including panels, headlights, cooling, radiators etc to the body repair industry.

Based in Southall, West London the team of 11 people have a wealth of knowledge in this specialised market sector.

The new business will be known as JCA Autoparts and will trade from the  1st April 2009.Further details regarding the services available from JCA Autoparts can be obtained via any member of the JCA sales team.

3M have launched their new sanding system know as Purple+. Designed with a longer lasting life with added advantage of better extraction and less loading.

The 3M abrasive mineral delivers rapid cut rate and the spiral multi-hole pattern allows quicker disc changes because the hole alignment is not required.

Tool manufacture FESTOOL invited eleven IRIS members including JCA to a 3 day factor visit in Stuttgart, Germany.

The trip was designed to allow "hands-on product" training and business support to the Dealer partners within the UK. "Having pro active dealer partners is the first solid base any business needs and we have this in JCA" commented Festool.

JCA launched their new look web site, which now includes useful information regarding PAS125, Colour Formula, and Jobs within JCA.

Danny Cooper has been named as Ford Panel Apprentice of the year.

Danny, 19, works at Andover Ford, a customer of JCA coatings, said he was very proud of his achievement.

Dave Clarke, ARC group manager of the Foray Group of bodyshops said,"Danny showed his dedication to the job by coming in unpaid on Saturdays and school holidays before he left school just so he could see how things are done in modern bodyshops.

Danny is clear proof to the younger generation that dedication does bring rewards.
