ACIS, IRIS and NIBS are 3 of the most successful of those operations. As dedicated refinish specialists their collective knowledge and experience is unsurpassed in the industry. Neither any of the organisations operate in the hard parts market so they are non-competing for dealer group businesses and the entrepreneurial spirit of the owner drivers ensures the customer receives the best service in the industry on a national basis.

ACIS was created in 1999 by the 14 leading distributors of Nexa Autocolor products in the UK. Formed as a sales and marketing organisation to meet the needs of group and national account customers operating in the UK market, ACIS is totally committed to its’ customers. ACIS offers complete coverage of the UK through its’ members 61 branches and with over 1000 employees, they are exceptionally well positioned to deliver on their promises.

As dedicated refinish specialists they have developed relationships with a number of key dealer groups, insurers and work providers. ACIS have a number of unique solutions all aimed at improving the processes and profitability of its' customers. Their innovative web based programmes offer tangible benefits to their customers with easy on-line access to central reporting and health and safety information amongst others.

At the end of 2006 ACIS announced a new strategic alliance with Akzo Nobel to supply their Sikkens range of car refinish products. This new initiative will strengthen the presence of both companies in the market place whilst offering their customers increased choice and improved service levels.

This group of independent specialist refinish distributors offer a wide range of products, services and solutions to their bodyshop customers. These include stock management, EPA and health and safety support, bodyshop management systems, business planning and electronic training.

IRIS have also been successful in developing relationships with dealer groups and key work providers, most notably with WNS, who they have secured an exclusive relationship with. IRIS are also actively working with ITAS on their internet based bodyshop comparison system.

IRIS members principally stock the Standox, RM and PPG brands of paint although many of the other paint companies products are also stocked by individual members. Like ACIS the members are all dedicated refinish specialists with owner drivers running their businesses ensuring clarity of focus and effort linked to outstanding customer service.

NIBS group was formed in 1990 to win business with group accounts in the automotive markets. A true dedicated supplier of specialist refinishing products, with its own 9dedicated technical support team.

With over 43 outlets spreading across the UK & Northern Ireland, the NIBS group are truly a national selling organisation offering a comprehensive range of packages and services.

NIBS group pride itself with the unique position of preferred supply statues with a number of car manufacturers which include Mercedes-Benz, Porsche Cars GB, Volkswagen Group, to name but a few. NIBS group are also currently involved in supply partnerships with a number of the top 100 dealer groups in the UK.

All the NIBS members are regional independent family owned businesses which create a greater staff stability and industry knowledge.
